The vision of Oak City Church is to be a church where individuals from all walks of life seek authentic engagement with Jesus. We desire to be a vibrant church body that confidently lives out the timeless message of the gospel in our changing culture, that prizes making and growing disciples of Christ, and that meets the needs of the community within and outside of our church.
Our mission statement is "To help people come to know and follow Jesus."
On Sunday mornings, we get together to remember who God is, what He as done for us by sending His son Jesus, and to celebrate the life that we have in Him. We welcome those who are seeking, skeptical, or curious. It is our sincere desire to thoughtfully explore your questions about God and Christianity with you.
Our Sunday service begins at 10 a.m. If you’re visiting for the first time, expect to find a warm, casual community of people that cares about one another and the needs of our city. Our services last about 1.5 hours and include elements of worship through music, prayer, communion, and teaching from God’s word. At these gatherings, you can expect to meet real people with real questions. Because we hold authenticity in such high value we don’t pretend to have everything figured out and we realize that we are all growing as disciples together.
You will want to arrive about 15 minutes early in order to meet people or check kids into the Children’s Ministry. Grab some coffee and meet someone, or just head right into the sanctuary. We’d love to have you join us!
On Sunday mornings, our Children’s Ministry serves kids from birth through 5th grade. We have a ton of fun with the kids as we learn about Jesus and our place in His story. This fun comes in many forms, including music, dancing, interactive videos, crafts, and more. We hope your child will join us.
