I grew up in a church plant as a kid, but when I moved to North Carolina, wanted nothing to do with the one church plant I knew about here. God, through many circumstances only he could orchestrate, changed my mind on all of this. That church plant – Hope Community Church – really changed my life. And as a part of my involvement there, we started a ministry called ‘hungry?’ seeking to reach the next generation with the gospel. Eventually, we felt like the best way to accomplish what God had called us to was to plant a church, and hence, Oak City Church was born.
