From now until February 18, we'll be collecting supplies for Layers of Dignity. On Saturday, February 18 at 6 p.m. the women's ministry will gather for a potluck meal. A representative from LOD will share a short presentation and we will put together tote bags using the supplies we've collected.

Layers of Dignity is a local nonprofit that partners with hospitals and advocacy centers in NC to provide care for sexual assault survivors. A tangible way they show support is by providing tote bags of toiletries and new clothing to women leaving the hospital. Survivors may need to leave their clothing at the hospital, or submit it as evidence. and the tote bags provide clothing so they don't leave the hospital in a paper gown. Also included is a handwritten note from a fellow survivor, and a guide for next steps to aid in recovery.
