In Galatians, Paul encourages the church to “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2). At Oak City Church, our Stephen Ministry helps us to minister to people in our church and community who are hurting.
Our Stephen Ministry equips and empowers church members—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting or going through tough times.
Each Stephen Minister has gone through extensive hours of training to gain the skills necessary to offer supportive, Christ-centered love and care. Ministers typically meet with one person at a time on a regular basis to encourage, counsel, and help.
